CARES Health Consortium

In 2004, ICUT initiated Collegiate Association REsource of the Southwest, Inc. (CARES), a health consortium for ICUT member institutions. The CARES mission is "to collaboratively develop innovative benefit plan choices, control costs and provide exceptional service." Click here to read more on the CARES website.

Computer Software Agreements

• Adobe Agreement—For purchasing of Adobe products for institutions, faculty, staff & students.

• Microsoft Campus Agreement—For institutional licensing of all campus computers and servers with a bundle of Microsoft products at an educational discount. Student licenses are also available.

• Microsoft Select Agreement—For institutional purchasing of a wide range of Microsoft software at an educational discount. This also allows for personal purchasing of Microsoft software at discounted prices.  Available to students, faculty and staff at all ICUT member institutions.

CCCS Agreements

In 2006, ICUT joined with eight other higher education associations from across the country to create a non-profit organization named the Coalition for College Cost Savings (CCCS).  This program offers contracts to ICUT institutions at no charge by virtue of their ICUT membership.  Members who already have existing contracts with these companies may still participate and receive the reduced CCCS contract rate, if desired.

• First American— Volume discounted lease rates in a pre-negotiated “no fees” program are available with many additional features included at no cost to members.  Features include enhanced EOT, on-line asset management tool, old equipment sale/disposal services, and a “concierge-style” single point of administrative contact.

• Provista— This firm offers a wide range of programs including athletic supplies, building services and maintenance repair operation, business and office products, dining services, furniture, service agreements, and student health (pharmacy and medical supplies).

EPA Initiative

The Board of Directors at its 2008 Annual Meeting authorized ICUT staff to pursue the creation of a consortium to address a growing concern to its membership of potential EPA campus inspections.
