| The ICUT Board of Directors is responsible for conducting the corporation's business between meetings of the membership. The Board develops the organization's public policy positions and provides for ICUT's representation before various government entities, educational organizations, and other agencies and groups. The Board is composed of five officers (chair, vice chair, past chair, secretary, and treasurer) and six directors at large. Each Board member serves a two-year term. |

| Dr. George Martin, Chair |
Dr. Martin began his tenure as president of St. Edward’s University in 1999. Prior to that, he served as Academic Vice President at St. Peter’s College in New Jersey. He joined the faculty at St. Peter’s in 1969, became chairman of the Political Science Department, was Academic Dean and was named Academic Vice President in 1991. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and received his master’s and doctoral degrees from Fordham University. He will serve as chair until September 2011.

| Dr. Tim Summerlin, Past Chair |
Dr. Summerlin became the fifth president of Schreiner University in the spring of 2001, where he had served as provost and vice president for academic affairs. He came to Schreiner from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he was dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and also served as acting provost. Dr. Summerlin received his bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian College and both a master's and Ph.D. from Yale University. He will serve as past-chair until September 2011.

| Dr. Victor Boschini, Chair-Elect |
| Dr. Boschini became the 10th Chancellor of TCU in June of 2003. He came to TCU after serving as vice president for student affairs and president of Illinois State University. Prior to that, he served at Butler University in Indiana and at Indiana University. Dr. Boschini was born in Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from Mount Union College, a master's degree from Bowling Green State University, and his doctorate in higher education administration from Indiana University. His term as director will expire in September 2013. |

| Dr. John Russell, Secretary |
In August 2002, Dr. John Russell, became the tenth president of McMurry University in Abilene. A retired Air Force colonel with broad experience as both an educator and administrator in civilian and military higher education settings, Dr. Russell came to McMurry after serving as executive vice-president for academic affairs for West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Prior to that he served in various positions at the Air Force Institute of Technology, the United States Air Force Academy, Air Force Space Command and the United States Air Force. Dr. Russell holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University; an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado. His term as Secretary of ICUT will end in September 2011.

Dr. Thomas Cedel, Treasurer |
Prior to joining Concordia, Cedel served as the Chief Academic Officer and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Concordia University Ann Arbor, in Ann Arbor, MI. A retired Air Force colonel and fighter pilot, Cedel commanded a fighter squadron and was vice commander of a fighter wing in various parts of the world including Pakistan, Japan, Korea, Europe and the Middle East. Dr. Cedel received his Ph.D. and undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, he attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he completed Seminar XXI, International Relations. His term as Treasurer of ICUT will end in September 2012.

| Dr. Charles Cotrell, Director |
Dr. Cotrell began his teaching career at St. Mary's University in 1966 and became the institution's first lay president in 2000. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from St. Mary's in the early 1960's and his PhD in political science from the University of Arizona in 1970. Dr. Cotrell has served the U.S. Department of Justice as a consultant on election systems and political participation and has presented his research on voting patterns to both houses of the U.S. Congress. He will serve as a director until September 2011.

| Dr. Robert Ivany, Director |
In July 2004, Dr. Robert Ivany became the eighth president of the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Prior to that, he had a distinguished thirty-four year career in the United States Army. A retired commandant of the U.S. Army War College, Dr. Ivany’s experience includes posts to the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University, the U.S. Army War College, the United States Military Academy at West Point and commands as an army cavalry officer. Dr. Ivany earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy and a PhD in History from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Ivany will serve on the ICUT Board of Directors until September 2011. |

| Dr. Miles McCall, Director |
Dr. Miles McCall became the 18th president of Lon Morris College in 2005. Prior to coming to Lon Morris, Dr. McCall was a Professor of Communication and Leadership Studies at Stephen F. Austin State University for 20 years. In 1998, he became Vice-President for Alumni Affairs at Stephen F. Austin and under his direction, the school built a new Alumni Building and raised many millions of dollars for scholarship endowments and over $37 million in a capital campaign. Dr. McCall is a professional speaker and has authored several books and professional papers. He will serve as a director until September, 2011. |

Dr. Marjorie Hass, Director |
Dr. Marjorie Hass became the 15th president of Austin College on July 1, 2009. Dr. Hass began her career at Muhlenberg College in 1993 as assistant professor of philosophy and was promoted to associate professor in 1998 and to professor in 2006. As an administrator, she created strong systems of support and recognition for faculty scholarship, artistic endeavors, and teaching, while maintaining effective relationships with faculty committees and the college Board of Trustees. Dr. Hass earned a bachelor’s degree, with highest distinction in philosophy, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She continued studies there to complete a master’s degree and Ph.D. in philosophy. She will serve as a director until September, 2012.

Dr. Randy O'Rear, Director |
Dr. Randy O'Rear began his tenure as the 22nd president of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on June 1, 2009. O'Rear is the first president of UMHB who is also an alumunus of the university. He graduated from UMHB with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1988 and earned an MBA from UMHB in 1997. He earned a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration from Baylor University in 2004. O'Rear has served at UMHB since 1988. He will serve as a director until September, 2012.

| Dr. Cornell Thomas, Director |
Before beginning his tenure as president of Jarvis Christian College in January 2009, Dr. Cornell Thomas served as System Vice President for Institutional Diversity at Oklahoma State University and at Texas Christian University as an assistant professor of educational foundations and administration. Prior to that, he spent four years as a principal with the Dallas Independent School District, two years as an assistant principal and six years as a teacher.
Thomas received his bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, his master’s degree in music education from Jackson State University, and his doctorate in educational administration from Texas A&M University, Commerce. He will serve as a director until September, 2012. |
