Adobe Agreement

Since 2002, ICUT has had an agreement with Adobe for institutional purchase and use of Adobe products. With the merging of Adobe and Macromedia, Macromedia software is also available. All ICUT institutions are eligible to purchase from this agreement. (See enrollment information below.) This is a flexible licensing program that enables ICUT members to purchase Adobe products and receive the discounts and benefits of a large-volume purchase without having to make large upfront expenditures.

Enrolling in the ICUT Adobe Agreement

The current ICUT agreement with Adobe expires June 30, 2008. To participate, a college or university must complete a 1-page enrollment and make a minimum good-faith purchase in the first 30 days. This purchase can include a mix of software or upgrade protection for your current Adobe software for the 2-year period of the contract. This protection guarantees you any upgrades to the software that are released during that period and is generally one-third the cost of a new version of the software.

Benefits of this Agreement

Some of the benefits of the ICUT Adobe agreement include:

Volume based pricing on any size order;
Perpetual licenses that do not have to be renewed annually;
Instant delivery of licenses; CD media is sold separately; and
All departments on campus can take advantage of this contract.

Student Licensing Program

After a college/university enrolls in the ICUT Adobe agreement, it can opt to add the new Student Licensing Program. The IT or bookstore can purchase Adobe software in lots of 25 copies to resell to students. The price to the IT department or bookstore is half of the academic retail price. This is a full perpetual license that can remain on the student's computer after leaving campus. At this time, this program does not extend to faculty and staff.
